Front Desk Staff

Cindy, Office Manager.
Cindy has been working with Dr. Sturm and the patients at Park Cedar Dentistry since 1983. She has over 25 years experience with anything and everything that has to do with running a dental practice. From explaining and scheduling treatment to billing and maximizing patients’ insurance benefits, Cindy can do it all. What she likes most about working here is the people; doctors, staff, and patients. If you have questions, comments or concerns, Cindy will help you get the answers you need.

A wife and mother of a high school teenager, Cindy stays pretty busy, but when she can, she tries to find time to travel with family and friends.

Bonnie, Hygiene Coordinator
A Native of LaCrescenta, California, Bonnie moved to Charlotte in 1998. She has been with the Park Cedar Dentistry team since 2001. With an extensive background in customer service, Bonnie’s favorite part of working in the field of dentistry has been learning how important dental care is to our overall health. She says her favorite part of this practice specifically is that we truly are like family here. Bonnie’s primary responsibility is managing the hygiene department of the practice but now after nearly 10 years, she can handle pretty much any request. Bonnie can help patients with scheduling and insurance questions and is always willing to take the time needed to be sure patients fully understand what to expect before, during and after their appointment.

A wife and mother of 2 grown children, Bonnie manages to make time for her favorite things, traveling with friends and family, gardening and crafts.

Alexsis, Dental Hygienist
Alexsis has worked in the field of dentistry since 1995. Her favorite thing about the practice of dentistry is improving and awakening smiles. Alexsis has been with Park Cedar Dentistry since 2004 and her favorite thing about working with Dr Sturm, Dr Snapp and Dr Fangman is that they are personable, down to earth, and they treat patients like family. What she likes most about her job however, is the staff, "We have fun at work".

A native of Industry, Pennsylvania, Alexsis has lived in Rock Hill, South Carolina since 1985. She spends a lot of time playing with her beloved dog, Nelli, but also gets out to swim and fish when she can.

Hunter, Dental Hygienist
Hunter graduated from York Technical College in May of 2001 and joined our practice in July of the same year. Her priority at work is caring for patients the way she would want to be cared for if she were in the dental chair. She takes her time to build relationships, treat and prevent periodontal disease, and educate patients about the important connection between their oral heath and their overall systemic health.

Hunter is a busy wife and mother of three young children. She is an active volunteer at her children's school, loves to host dinner parties, and enjoys traveling with her family.

Tisha, Dental Hygienist
Tisha graduated from York Technical College in 2007 and is licensed in both North and South Carolina. Her desire is to be gentle and caring, hoping to eliminate some of the fears the patients might have. She loves working with children. By creating a fun and safe dental environment for them she hopes that their experiences early in life will prevent them from growing up to be anxious dental patients. She also enjoys working with the doctors and staff at Park Cedar Dentistry because "it's one big family of people who really care for each other and their patients".

A true "southern girl" Tisha resides in Heath Springs, S.C. along with her dogs and wonderful husband. Although she does not have children of her own, she manages to fill her time with many yard projects as well as crafts. She is an amateur seamstress in her off time and an active member in her community.

Ellen, Dental Hygienist.
Ellen has worked in the field of dentistry since 1972 and has been with this practice since 1994. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist has been building relationships with the patients. She has particularly enjoyed her last 10+ years in this office because of the relaxed pace and pleasant atmosphere.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Ellen and her family moved to Charlotte in 1993. She is a wife and mother of 2 grown girls. Besides being an avid golfer, Ellen takes time to read, quilt, and practice yoga.

Dental Assistants

Tifanie, Certified Dental Assistant
A native of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Tifanie moved to Charlotte in 1988 and started working with Dr Sturm in 1998. She has been a dental assistant since 1983 with experience in both general dentistry and specialty practices. What she likes most about this field is the opportunity to change the attitude and perception of dentistry for the fearful patient. Tifanie is a highly competent, exceedingly caring professional who takes the extra time needed to build lasting relationships with patients.

When she's not at the office, Tifanie is caring for her toy poodles ("Jessie" James & Chief "Dooley") and spending time with her husband. She likes to cook and travel and she is very active in the corvette club and her church.

Beth, Certified Dental Assistant
Beth came to our practice in 2002 as a student intern. Her talent, competence and compassion for patients was immediately obvious prompting us to extend an invitation to her to join our office immediately following graduation. She welcomes challenges and the variety that being a dental assistant provides.

Beth assists with all procedures, but she particularly likes surgical and implant cases. Her favorite thing about working in this office is getting to know all of the patients and developing personal relationships with them.

A wife and mother of two young children, Beth enjoys spending time with her family and helping out with her daughter’s girl scout troop. In addition, Beth and her family are active in their church.

Andrea, Certified Dental Assistant
Andrea has been with this practice longer than anyone. She joined the founder of the practice in 1981 (Dr. Sturm didn’t join the practice until 1983!) With over 25 years experience, dental assisting is second nature to Andrea leaving her free to focus her time and attention on getting to know patients and understanding them and their concerns. Her favorite part of her job is working with the public because everyone is unique and that makes every day special.

Andrea is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina but has lived in Rock Hill, South Carolina since 1992. She is married with 2 active kids in middle and high school who keep her busy. In her leisure time she can usually be found reading, swimming, walking, or hiking in the mountains.
